There has been a new publication form Marta Szreder, Donald Derrick and Chahla Ben-Ammar. Ben-Ammar is a MA alum from the graduating class of 2020.
Their paper Affricate variation in Emirati Arabic was published as a chapter in the Experimental Arabic Linguistic Volume as part of the Studies in Arabic Linguistic series published by John Benjamins.
They analyse evidence regarding the effects lexical, phonological and socio-phonetic factors play on the distribution of affricate variants in Emirati Arabic.
We are thrilled to see Ben-Ammar's work! Great job!
