Congratulations to Avery Ozburn (MA 2014), who recently defended her Ph.D. dissertation, "A target-oriented approach to neutrality in vowel harmony," at the University of British Columbia! Her supervisor was Gunnar Hansson, and Douglas Pulleyblank, Anne-Michelle Tessier, Molly Babel, and Patrick Moore made up the rest of the committee. Avery will now be beginning a well-deserved postdoctoral fellowship at McGill University. Congratulations, Dr. Ozburn!
